Abstract :
Track Initiation (TI) is a particularly sensitive system function for MaRV defense because many sources of error exist; errors born here may propagate through the track sequence to end-game, causing problems in such areas as tactics and resource management along the way. Improper track initiate processing can compound errors and lead to drop track, and object designation errors caused by failure to detect MaRVs can lead to load fluctuations later in track, with a consequent inadequate radar energy margin and a decrease in data processor through-put.
