Abstract :
Multimedia technology plays an important role in dredging simulation. The paper briefly presents the main aspects of the multimedia technology used in the dredging simulation of cutter suction dredger, such as construction environment, vessel and its motion, soil cutting, transport in pipeline, sound, vibration and so on, particularly introduces the principles of the key technologies and the relevant skills. The simulation system has been developed and confirmed in the practical application.
