Abstract :
A new scheme with fewer components and shorter birefringent-crystal length for an optical interleaver using a ring cavity is proposed. A wide 0.5 dB passband (0.91 times bandwidth), a large 25 dB stopband (0.78 times bandwidth), and a high channel isolation (45 dB) are obtained.
