Abstract
The three-dimensional scanning system for positioning the workpieces on CNC machine is discussed in this paper. It is designed by the principle of photogrammetry. This experimental system is composed of three camera-projector combinations. The stripe is passed to the measured target by projector, and then gathering the image of the target by cameras. Finally, the point cloud distribution maps can be gotten after analysis and calculation for the image. It represents the three-dimensional characteristics of the test target. The system was calibrated and the experimental results show that it has small error for measurement. It can complete the three-dimensional scanning of the workpiece without moving the camera and projector, and be suitable for using on CNC machine tools.
