Abstract :
Inverse receiver is often used in High Pulse Repetition Frequency-Pulse Doppler (HPRF-PD) radar. In such kind of system, the echo wave passes the narrow band filter of the receiver, and becomes quasi-continuous wave. When using the digital IF receiver to realize quasi-continuous wave processing, the receiver outputs zero value during the forcing closure of transmit-receiver switch. This method can reduce the output noise effectively and improve the output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) accordingly because the duty factor of HPRF-PD radar is high. In the paper, the improvement of SNR is analyzed theoretically, and the simulation experiment verifies the validity of the method.
