Research on treatment of oil-containing wastewater by fly ash

In order to solve the environmental pollution caused by oil-containing wastewater, research on treatment of oil-containing wastewater by fly ash as sorbent, added after modification and combined with other process was summarized. The results show that treatment of oil-containing wastewater treatment by fly ash has the characteristic of simple in process, good effect and lower operation cost. And this process has expansive application foreground. The problems remained were pointed out. Further research on the mechanism of wastewater treatment with fly ash, separation and final utilization of the saturated fly ash are needed to do in the near future.
