Abstract
In recent years, the hybrid structure based on post beam constructions and light wood frame constructions appears both at home and abroad. This kind of structures not only possesses the characteristics of post- beam constructions, such as nice aesthetic view, flexible design, but also has the features of light wood frame constructions, including light weight, ease of workmanship and high earthquake resistance and enough durability for long period of years. In this paper, lateral performance of the post-beam constructions, the light wood frame constructions and the hybrid structure is compared experimentally. The comparison of load-bearing capacity and energy dissipation indicates that the frame has enhanced the lateral load bearing capacity of the hybrid structure.
