Abstract :
Design and measurements of a high-contrast millijoule regenerative amplifier are presented. Coupled with a preamplifier and saturable absorber, the amplifier and subsequent compressor produce 3.7 mJ, 33 fs pulses with nanosecond ASE contrast of 10-11.
