Abstract
A better performance and low cost biosensor is believed can be formed when Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanowires working together with Aurum (Au) Inter Digitated Electrode (IDE). The use of TiO2 nanowires for DNA application can be considered as a new exploration in research and development field. Bottom-up approach of the sol-gel method is used to grow TiO2 nanowires while the topdown simple lithography method is used to fabricate Aurum (Au) interdigitated electrodes (IDEs). Thus, the combination of both bottom-up and top-down approaches are able to form a very high sensitivity of the sensor. Biomaterial DNA application on the modified surface of TiO2 nanowires cause it to form a biosensor.
