Abstract :
Image fusion algorithm based on contrast pyramid was used to improve the quality of image. Contrast Pyramid algorithm is to decompose image to a series of decomposition layers which have different resolution and different spatial frequency. Each decomposition level reflects the contrast information of the image of the corresponding spatial frequency. The fusion algorithm based on contrast Pyramid decomposition can selectively highlight contrast information of fusion image, so it can achieve a good visual effect. The advantage of algorithm is that it could highlight contrast information, and some shortcomings existing in this algorithm is analyzed in this paper, it had been verified by experimental method. The experimental results suggest that details of information loss in fused image caused by local image overexposed.
