This communication is centred on a presentation of what has been called the French School of technological systemics (systemique), based on contributions from Bertrand Gille and Gilbert Simondon. This approach will be considered as a complementary alternative to the Anglo-Saxon analysis of technological change mainly represented by Thomas P. Hughes.
