Abstract :
Bandpass sigma-delta modulators are variations on the standard (lowpass) sigma-delta modulator which operate on higher frequency signals, and have applications in areas such as digital radio demodulation. In this study, we apply the theory of nonlinear dynamics to these systems in order to explain and predict their behaviour. This theory can give designers insight into important practical features of these systems, such as stability and resolution
