Abstract :
In this paper, a double-layer diffractive element in far-infrared wavebands is investigated and the design process and simulation are described. This method can give a better design result than that with the conventional design method, in that the diffraction efficiency is large than 90% at each wavelength. A infrared optical system with this double-layer diffractive element is described, which can work in the infrared wavebands with high image contrast and imaging quality.
