Abstract :
A fully analytical method is presented to study the performance of induction motor under eccentricity fault condition using winding function theory. Analytical nature of this method makes it possible to use system oriented simulation environments such as Simulink for analysis of application of different control algorithm. Influence of different control algorithm upon the stator current harmonics due to the eccentricity fault will be studied in this paper. It is also shown that after applying the Park´s transformation to the three-phase currents of stator, detection of eccentricity harmonics around fundamental frequency is easier than the detection of these harmonics within the stator three-phase currents.
