Abstract
Advances in amorphous silicon technology and manufacturing have led to a truly green manufacturing plant with no toxic waste. Manufacturing with this technology is relatively mature. The BP Solar TF1 plant produces products with flexibility in size and voltage configurations to address markets with 5 W to 50 W modules. The plant is fully operational at a run rate of over 7 MW/year. The plant throughput is expected to reach full capacity by the end of 2000
