Abstract :
A barcode recognition system in an ammeter image was designed and implemented in this paper, it was the key part of ammeter information acquisition system. The embedded platform used in this paper was UT-S3C6410. Our system consists of three parts: Image input module, barcode image recognition module and data process module. Image input module could work in two modes-files and field shooting, barcode image recognition module include barcode image location, barcode recognition and image processing, the data processing block mainly for data validation, matching and preservation work. The results showed that the proposed system have a good performance to recognize the barcode in an ammeter image. The system in this paper can be directly applied to the ammeter image information acquisition system.
