Abstract :
Taking the campus of Guilin University of Electronic Technology as prototype, combing with the software of 3Ds max and other virtual stimulate technology, a virtual campus has been developed. In this paper, a real-time roaming system of Virtual campus is fulfilled by using a VR-Platorm and data base connection. In addition, 3D-virtual campus implement some function including self-excursive trip, path auto-generation of roaming, positioning in bird´s eye view, and the buildings querying for database. Through improved optimize technique of the scene, the system efficiency is greatly increase, and running process stably and fluently. The experimental result indicates that the technical route and design proposal are reasonable, and the system developed can entirely meet the need of real-time scene roaming in the ordinary PC.
