Abstract
On the issues of the constant-bit-rate channels which would severely reduce the efficiency of network bandwidth utilization in industrial Ethernet, this thesis adopts the FTT-SE protocol to do scheduling and management of real-time workload. The availability of bandwidths is dynamic variable during multimedia streams transmission, especially the availability of video streams. So, it can dynamic adjust the compression levels to each stream and distribute the resources of bandwidths to adapt the variations in resource availability. Using this strategy of dynamic QoS management make it becomes feasible to provide the best possible QoS to each stream. Simulation results demonstrate the viability and effectiveness of using this method.
