Abstract :
Future space based imaging system require larger aperture sizes to keep pace with the demand for high spatial resolution, the cost and weight becomes increasingly prohibitive for large full aperture. A new concentric symmetrical synthetic aperture is thus presented in this paper at the first time-called the ring-sector aperture. It is a segmental structure and easy to be processed. The pupil function and the MTF distribution are given, and the optical performance is analyzed. The paper also generates image simulation for ring-sector aperture and full aperture. The image of ring-sector-aperture system becomes blurry because of the MTF loss in mid-frequency. The principle of image recovering with Wiener filter is presented, and the recovering results show that the contrast of ring-sector-aperture image can be improved even equivalence to the full aperture´s. The ring-sector aperture is value to be researched and adopted.
