Abstract :
The development of feedback control theory for applications to industrial processes is one of the fundamental issues facing the control scientist. This issue arises because of the complexity and vagueness in the description of such processes. Some attempts have been made to use the fuzzy set theory in the design of feedback control algorithms for industrial applications and this development is still in its infancy. In this paper we give a brief survey of some of the work that is being done in this field.
