Abstract
The paper demonstrates how the pulse h(t), the Laplace transform H(s) of which is an algebraic ratio with poles and zeros located in the left half of the s-plane, can be transformed into a pulse described by the first semi-period of the function sinmt (0 ≤ t ≤ π) where t is normalized time. A realizable transfer function of the network which makes this transformation possible is calculated. The examples given describe the calculation procedure and demonstrate some pitfalls of the approach.
