Abstract :
Consultative Committee for Space Data System (CCSDS) establishes a Recommended Standard specification for transferring IP Protocol Data Units over space links (IP OVER CCSDS). This paper describes a high-speed communication processor based on IP OVER CCSDS and presents a self-adaptive window flow control (SWFC), based on link available storage space and historical information. In this system, there are five links to transmit information, each link can only transfer one data type and data of more significance have higher priority level. SWFC is design for a link that transfers data of the lowest significance but the largest quantity. Compared with traditional flow control schemes, SWFC is a more effective measure to eliminate idle frame and yield a significant throughput improvement.
