Abstract :
To determine the bearing characteristic value of loading transfer, we investigated the bearing capacities of single pile and single pile with cap. The main results were shown as followed: The axial force attenuated slowly because of the effect of the rigid cap of single pile, The load on pile top was decreased along with the raise of the total load, For the presence of the cap, the distribution of axial force became gentle and the lateral friction resistance was decreased, meanwhile the pile end bearing was increased greatly. To conclude, the settlement value of the single with cap was more than that of the single pile.
