  • Abstract
Aeronautical Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output (MIMO) datalink can provide broadband communications in Air-to-Ground communications. In the previous research, the aeronautical datalink can be used for ranging and the position can only be available by TOA or TDOA with multiple datalinks from multiple ground stations. However, with the MIMO datalink applied in aeronautical communications, the positioning with single MIMO datalink becomes possible. In this paper, the positioning with the single broadband aeronautical MIMO communication datalink is proposed. Specifically, the detailed waveform and frame header are designed. The simulation confirms the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme.
