Abstract :
The work presented in this paper aims to develop a template that generates a virtual model representing the interaction between the pantograph and the catenary. Contact modeling was achieved using the penalty regularization and Coulomb friction techniques. A description of the algorithm is given and results enlightening the influence of droppers spacing are presented. Simulations show that the template developed provides consistent results and could be used as a baseline for parameters optimization.
