  • Abstract
Substations differ greatly in their configurations, sizes and importance. Substation switching schemes are, therefore, designed and developed separately for each substation. This paper describes a digital computer based substation switching scheme that can be employed in different configurations of substations. The scheme is applicable to substations of all practical configurations. It also considers factors such as, generation and load balance, ratings of equipment and continuity of power supply
