Abstract
The network architecture of substation equipment on-line monitoring is difficult to meet the performance requirements, based on the analysis of the substation equipment on-line monitoring system. Then the OpenFlow protocol standard is proposed to include into the existing monitoring system. The new network architecture based on OpenFlow is described in detail, and test the performance of OpenFlow switches used Agilent N2X. The simulation results show that the OpenFlow switches have better performance than the Industrial Ethernet switches of the measures. It greatly improves the efficiency of the network communication.
