Abstract :
Intelligent policy control must be applied to guarantee the QoS of diverse M2M services in mobile networks. Based on IMS policy infrastructure, the policy control structure and procedure for M2M services in mobile networks are given, and the corresponding demand on IMS policy service support is described. The low bandwidth usage problem of the M2M Gateway aggregating traffic from multiple M2M terminals is pointed out, and the formula for estimating the minimum aggregated bandwidth in a special case is derived. Finally, the policy generation, process and application procedure of M2M services is introduced, and the policy confliction detection and resolution schemes are analyzed.
