Abstract :
In this paper, a mapping QR decomposition (MQRD) algorithm for MIMO detection is proposed. This algorithm significantly reduces the overall complexity by eliminating the square root and division operations in traditional QR decomposition without any performance degradation. Its combination with list sphere decoding (LSD) is re-derived to provide accurate soft information. In addition, our derivation shows that linear interpolation-based QR decomposition is not feasible in practice as well.
