Abstract :
ID3 is a kind of classical classification algorithm of data mining. It classifies the data set which depends on the property with more value, but the selected property is not optimal. According to the particular area of computer crime forensics and the shortcomings of ID3 algorithm itself, this paper proposes an improved ID3 algorithm. It selects the best division property by improving the information gain formula, classifies the collected data and constructs decision tree. Experiments show that such decision tree includes less branches and lower height of the tree, accelerates the speed of classification and reduces space consumption.
