Abstract :
Based on the meshing characteristic analysis of involute gear, taking into account the sliding friction and rolling friction, the instantaneous meshing efficiency at any contact point is studied. Through the integral calculation of the instantaneous efficiency along the contact line, the average efficiency of one meshing cycle can be obtained. The efficiency calculation model of the involute spur gear under mixed EHL conditions is validated by the numerical simulation. The influence of the working conditions and design parameters on the gear efficiency has also been analyzed, which can provide a theoretical basis for the selection of design parameters.
