Abstract :
Recently, the multimedia-based pedagogy has been increasingly applied. It is highly inconvenient for the communication and interaction between teachers and students with such a teaching method, in which teachers are consequently constrained to where they should constantly operate computer. Although there are some monofunctional computer remote control devices in the market, they are not well enough to meet the teaching demands. This thesis proposes a design of a computer remote control system, which improves PC remote control equipment at this stage. This design based on NEC code for infrared codes, by using Visual Basic to program computer console applications, monitoring the real-time data sent by the microcontroller, contrasting the control code table, and via calling the Windows API to send a message, thus implementing the direct operation of a separate application. The design is particularly suitable for remote control based on multimedia programs, and is really useful for teachers in the multimedia-based pedagogy.
