  • Abstract
In the process of passing from the conduction to turn-off state in a thyristor, for a short time, electrical conduction still exists. This paper presents a calculation of the R-C snubber limiting effect, considering an exponentially decaying form of the reverse residual current. The results are presented in a per-unit system and the influence of various parameters are discussed
