Abstract
The concept of interval valued fuzzy matrices (IVFM), which is a generalization of fuzzy matrix and still in its infant stage, plays a crucial role in networks, document retrieval system, medical diagnosis, database management system, decision-making theory, control theory and dynamical systems. In this paper, we propose a new approach, denoted as <;R|V>;, for the multiplication of IVFM, and we use this technique for predicting the stages (mild, moderate or severe) of diarrhea. This technique is more suitable than the composition (max. min.) to diagnose a disease and enable the physicians to have a better analytic understanding of present diagnostic process of diarrhea.
