The authors present an overview of TSC T1M1 standards projects, as well as important standards required for remote management and operation of a telecommunications network. They provide an LEC (local exchange carrier) perspective on the need for a standard interface to facilitate end-to-end customer network management and they describe a new, related standards project in T1M1
