Abstract :
A switched mode power converter with gyrator characteristics is described. The approach arises from transmission line theory and is based on the inherent inductance and capacitance of transmission lines. Thus the topology is based on a transmission line approximation, emulated by an LC network. In addition, the implementation involves two phase shifted switching networks. The method is applicable for high frequency signals as well as low frequency, or even DC, signals
