Abstract :
This paper aims to analyse power converter types and topologies to identify the most suitable scheme for a sigma-delta power amplifier for audio applications. Single-cycle insulated schemes, in particular, are considered and compared with bridge-type conventional quasi-resonant converters. One of the schemes studied is attractive for the low-power audio field. It was breadboarded and tested in the laboratory. The experimental results are reported in this work
