Abstract :
This paper presents design and implementation of a control system that will allow a user to drive a vehicle through the Internet. The aim of the design is to drive a car model by controlling its three main systems: the ignition system, the speed system, and the steering system. In addition, the driver will receive a real time video from the camera mounted on the car. Other critical information such as the car speed, car lights, and gas level will also be displayed on the web page. All control and communication between the car and the server takes place through wireless transmitters/receivers which gives total freedom to the movement of the car. The car model has an embedded system that is based on the MC68HC11 microcontroller.
