Abstract :
Wireless Sensors Networks (WSN) have already some years of development and studies especially in the area of communication between applications and the networks. In this regard, there are a number of frameworks that target this communication issue offering different approaches and concepts. This paper is describing a model for such a framework from telecommunication platforms perspective using state of the art technologies from this area, Service Development Platform (SDP), model that allows high flexibility in terms of integration and time to market. Integration capabilities of such a framework appear from pluggable resource adaptors concept that serve various types of protocols. An evaluation of some of the current WSN frameworks is done in this paper followed by description of SDP characteristics. Concept of a service that explores WSN properties is presented together with an example. In the end, advantages of a framework based on SDP are presented with arguments based on authors´ experiences.
