Abstract :
This paper proposed a new optical multicast model based on ASON, then analyzed and compared the multicast algorithm and signaling mechanism. The paper proposed a applicable optical multicast service model, and a series of algorithm to realize the functions of multicast building, deletion, graft, pruning, and so on, which could support SPC and SC modes to setup point to multi-point tree. A kind of centralized multicast model was built, which could meet the demands for optical multicast in ASON new services. It is convenient to realize account policy through the statistics for the present allocated status of ports and links and the current backbone network connection bandwidth.
