Abstract :
Traffic information collection technology is the basis to constructing the ITS common information platform, in which the most critical and complex part is the automatic detection technology to vehicles. In this paper, we focus on the mathematics morphology technology´s application in vehicles images processing. Through reading a large number of documents, we can conclude that the image´s geometric features usually can´t be affected by external environment and learn that mathematical morphology in processing vehicles images under complex environment has obvious advantages. Through studying Vehicle identification based on morphology, the main contents are as follow: Noise filtering, adhesion target segmentation, image reconstruction, image matching, and other key technologies. In this paper, the image morphology in vehicle detection of specific applications was reviewed.
