Abstract :
This paper overviews the recent progress and future prospects for photonic transport network technologies from the viewpoints of ROADM (reconfigurable optical add drop multiplexer) functional enhancement for improving the networking agility, expansion of the optical transparent domain, and advanced transmission technologies.
