Abstract
The paper gave a quantitative statistical analysis to the vocabulary in Tibetan textbooks of junior and senior high school which were compiled by the Tibetan Textbook Commission of Five Provinces/Regions, including statistics of different literary genres and statistics of text body. The statistical items include the entry statistics in different genres, volume entries, the total words, the special phrases statistics, and make an analysis of the statistical data. This paper is writing with the desire to provide quantitative standard for the objective evaluation of secondary and senior high school textbooks, provide the basis for making quantitative vocabulary teaching goals for secondary schools of Tibetan language and lay a foundation to improve the quality of secondary school textbook preparation in the future.
