Abstract :
Since the computers network has become increasingly disorderly, the stacking numbers is causing a lot of damages in the network performance and because the overloading and data diversification, the applications becomes more exigent, so to demand a solution offering more than a higher velocity the gigabit Ethernet is a grand unifying technology that enables communication of multiple forms of content voice, video and data technology. This work suggests analyses the necessity of a gigabit Ethernet solution for network LAN´s traffic, and the research will be achieve about the network performance in hardware with fast Ethernet technology, with a software simulation of a network gigabit Ethernet which applications claims (VoIP, image transfer, video IP, etc).
