Comparison research on the performance of DTN route protocol and Ad hoc route protocol

DTN network as a new type of wireless network operation mode can be widely used in the frequently divided and interrupted environment of wire less network. It can complete data transmission and switch through a way of "storage carry forward". The DTN network is very similar with Ad hoc network in application environment and software design but in the routing algorithms application cost, QoS, etc. they both have advantages and disadvantages. To get more optimal routing protocols of the combination of DTN and the Ad hoc, in this paper we simulate and compare the Epidemic protocol of the DTN network and AODV protocol of the Ad hoc network in the case of different communication radius and different node numbers, thus arrive the characteristics of different routing protocols in different situation.lt will provide a basis for the combination of the Ad hoc network protocal and the DTN network protocol.
