Abstract :
Magnetic gears offer significant advantages over traditional mechanical gears, such as the ability to increase as well as decrease the input speed, contactless power transfer, high gear ratios, oil free operation, inherent overload protection, high torque density, potential for high efficiency and little or no maintenance. This paper presents an overview of high-performance magnetic gears.
