Abstract :
The HC3 supports a network centric, reconfigurable, multi-band, family of communications platforms. These platforms range from fixed site to Communications On The Move (COTM), vehicle and ship-board mounted examples. The architecture supports multiple, simultaneous, above 2 GHz waveforms including both military and commercial SATCOM and Line Of Sight (LOS). An architecture goal is to promote waveform commonality and reuse. This paper focuses on how commonality and variability analysis can be performed to partition the waveform components from platform and components that will maximize waveform portability and reuse
