Abstract :
In April 2007, the Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) released 15 Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) website L. The release of these APls will allow for the public distribution, implementation, and collaboration with commercial software vendors, universities, and international programs. The APIs contained in this first release provide common API building utilities, I/O interfaces supporting data/voice processing, and an abstraction for the modem hardware. This release is the result of efforts to promote and encourage portability and reusability within the software defined radio community.
