Abstract :
A new time-domain ray model is developed to predict the pulse response of wideband radio channel propagation in indoor wireless communications. In this approach, the time-domain analytic signal representation is derived based on the effect of the dispersion loss in electrical conductors such as the walls and ceiling within a building. The time-domain reflection and transmission coefficients from a lossy space are obtained by using the analytical inverse Laplace transform. To overcome the convolution of multiple reflection or transmission, a very useful representation for the time-domain multiple reflected ray field and transmitted ray field is derived analytically in a closed form. The simulation result is compared to the measurement result in indoor communication
