Abstract
The information resources required within the manufacturing environment are constantly increasing. Managing these resources to enable users to find vital information is now becoming a critical issue. The paper proposes an approach to information overload that uses industrial strength hypermedia to manage these information resources. The strategy proposed ensures that the cost of implementing such a system is minimised by allowing documentation to remain in its original format. The work discussed is with particular reference to factory floor activities with manufacturing
